Ryedale District Council is urging everyone to stick to public health guidelines after a spike in the rate of COVID infection in Ryedale in November. Remember to wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer. Wear a face covering in public indoor settings. Respect social distancing and stay 2m apart.
If you have symptoms (new continuous cough, high temperature and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) self-isolate and don’t leave home except to get a test. Tests can be booked at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119. There are mobile testing facilities at Thornton le Dale and Malton. The available testing sites nearest to you will come up when you book your test.
