Kirkbymoorside Town Council

NOTE: The Town Council meetings are held on the third Monday of every month, except August when there is no meeting. The April 2025 meetings will not be held on the third Monday by virtue of the Easter Bank Holiday on Monday 21 April and have been rescheduled according to Councilors' availability to ensure the meetings are quorate.

Issued on 9 April 2025 for a meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7.30pm on 15 April 2025 in Church House, Kirkbymoorside.

Members of the Council are required to attend. Members of the press and public are also welcome to attend.

Photographing, recording, broadcasting or transmitting the proceedings of a meeting is permitted so long as this does not disrupt the meeting in any way. As a matter of courtesy should you wish to record the meeting please make this known to the Chair.

7. All Saints' Churchyard
   1. To note the Order dated 18 December 2024, that burials should be discontinued in All Saints churchyard, Kirkbymoorside (Burial Act 1853 as amended) received by the Town Council, recorded at Minute 24161 dated 20 January 2025, pursuant to Notice recorded at Minute 24092 dated 21 October 2024
   2. To consider the formal notification of the intention of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to transfer the responsibility for maintenance of the Graveyard at All Saints Church, Kirkbymoorside in accordance with the 1972 Local Government Act Section 215
8. Moorside Room
   1. To note submission of Planning Application ZE25/00248/FUL in respect of the replacement windows to the front elevation, pursuant to minute 24179
   2. To receive information of the heat loss calculation and consider associated recommendations
9. To consider the grant application submitted by Next Steps for £800 to contribute towards the cost of the Kirkbymoorside walk and talk therapy sessions
10. Street lighting
    1. To receive information on the 'Helping Protect Our Dark Skies' event hosted by the Town Council on 25 March
    2. To consider inviting Mike Hawtin, NYMNP to carry out a review of the street lights and timings in order to identify any recommended modifications to promote Dark Skies
11. To receive an update on development of the Path For Everyone project
12. To note commencement of the cutting season for the grass verges with the first cut completed and preparation (cut and collect where necessary) of the designated wildflower verges
13. To receive information on Mayor David Skaith's Police and Crime Plan 2025-2029
14. To receive reports from Members representing the Town Council at meetings of outside bodies and on delegated matters
